Overview
District Wharf—commonly referred to as simply, “The Wharf”—is a popular waterfront destination in Southwest Washington, DC. This mile-long stretch along the Potomac River is punctuated with restaurants, retailers, residences, and businesses, all complemented by monumental views and a vibrant culture.
Ruppert was presented with a Gold Award in the National Association of Landscape Professionals’ Awards of Excellence in program (Landscape Management category) in 2023.
Scope
Ruppert installed all of the softscape/plant material during the final construction phase and continues to maintain the plant material, including 450 planters/pots, 200+ trees, and two urban parks.
