Ruppert Landscape and Associated Builders & Contractors Foster Industry Connections with Summer Networking Event

ABC Metro's 2023 Summer Bash at Ruppert Landscape

Ruppert Landscape partnered with Associated Builders and Contractors of Metro Washington (ABC Metro) to host their annual summer networking event on Wednesday, July 19th, 2023. ABC Metro has been holding this event at Ruppert’s headquarters in Montgomery County, MD for over 25 years, with more than 500 people attending this year’s event.

“ABC of Metro Washington values our relationship with Ruppert Landscape and looks forward to this annual summer event,” said Dan Bond, CAE, president of ABC of Metro Washington. “We’re thankful for the opportunity to connect our members and industry colleagues in this exceptional outdoor setting.”

The event allows members and prospective members to interact in a relaxed outdoor environment. ABC members are dedicated to free enterprise, open competition, and the merit shop philosophy. They are the builders of schools, hospitals, government buildings, recreational facilities, houses of worship, commercial centers, industrial plants, bridges, roads, museums, and much more.

“We take great pride in our association with an organization that excels in its efforts to support our industry and remains committed to keeping us well-informed about local, state, and national issues affecting the building and construction industries,” said Bob Jones, president of Ruppert’s landscape construction division. “Our involvement with ABC, and events such as this, afford us the opportunity to interact and build stronger relationships with customers and other contractors.”

ABC of Metro Washington is the pre-eminent advocate for fair and open competition and the merit shop philosophy, and the premiere construction association in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. The merit shop philosophy is a way of doing business in which companies reward employees based on performance while encouraging them to reach their highest level of achievement, and in which contracts are awarded based on safety, quality, and value—regardless of labor affiliation.
