Three Promoted in Ruppert’s Landscape Construction Division

Laytonsville, MD – Ruppert Landscape is pleased to announce the promotion of Patrick Luzier, Mike Ward and Adam Bennett in our landscape construction division.

Patrick Luzier has been promoted to the position of southern regional vice president in the landscape construction division.

“With our continued growth and the opening of the newly established Houston branch, the creation of an additional level of management has proven itself necessary,” said Bob Jones, president of the landscape construction division.

Luzier brings almost 30 years of industry experience to this new position and a wealth of knowledge about horticulture, contracting, and people management. He studied psychology and history at California State University at San Bernardino and holds general contractor, landscape contractor and horticultural licenses in several states. He first began his career at Ruppert in 1995 and held several positions leading to his promotion to branch manager in 1996, a position he held until the sale of the company in 1998. Since re-joining the company in 2003, he has served as branch manager in our Georgia landscape construction branch. In 2006, he received the company’s Achievement Award in recognition of outstanding job execution and high quality results. In this new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the management of the Georgia and Texas landscape construction branches and will continue to build the Ruppert brand in these markets. He currently resides in Suwanee, GA with his wife, Heather.

“Patrick has played an important role in creating growth opportunities not only in the Atlanta and Houston markets but in North Carolina as well,” said Jones. “We are confident that he will continue to grow the landscape construction division in his new position.”

Mike Ward has been promoted to the position of branch manager in our Texas landscape construction branch. Ward began his career with the company in 1990 as a crewman and has since held almost every position in the landscape construction division, including foreman, estimator, purchaser, contract administrator, project manager, business development manager, and most recently, director of pre-construction services and estimating. He currently resides in Kearneysville, WV and plans to relocate to the Houston area in the coming months.

“Mike is extremely dedicated to this company and its people. He has done anything asked of him, including moving to Oklahoma City to manage the Myriad Gardens project and then to Texas to help manage the installation of water features at the Baybrook Mall project.” said Luzier. “Last August, he began serving as the interim branch manager in Houston and has been instrumental in building the team and helping the branch perform at a higher level of quality and efficiency. We are thrilled to welcome him as the official branch manager in Houston and are confident that we will continue to grow and develop his team.”

Adam Bennett has been promoted to the position of branch manager in our Georgia landscape construction branch. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in turf grass management and landscape contracting and began his career working in enhancements and light construction. After several years in the high-end residential market and masonry business, Bennett joined Ruppert in 2015 as a field manager and was shortly thereafter promoted to production manager in our Maryland landscape construction branch. He currently resides in Rockville, MD with his wife, Ashley, and their son, and they have plans to relocate to the Atlanta area in the spring.

“Adam was able to manage a large portion of our Maryland landscape branch’s projects in 2016 and contributed greatly to a tremendously successful year,” said Luzier. “He is very much respected by both the field personnel as well as his peers in the branch, and we look forward to seeing him take on this new leadership role.”
