National Zoo Asia Trail Exhibit

The Asia Trail Exhibit at the National Zoo was the first step in a 10-year zoo renovation designed to expand the overall exhibit area and rehab some of the existing areas.

Project Scope

Installation of 400 trees, 2,500 shrubs, 19,000 perennials (60 species) and 1,500 bamboo plants (32 species); two green roofs to help with water and run off; and an irrigation and fog system to assist with recreating realistic Asian mountain weather conditions.
