In the Field with Intern Candidates

We are continually seeking talented, hard-working individuals interested in a career in the green industry. As part of this effort, we offer a highly competitive internship program with a broad range of opportunities in commercial landscape maintenance and installation. We incorporate the potential for training in several different areas of the business, skill-building seminars, and management training, along with a personal mentor who guides interns through the program. Much of the experience is hands-on and is a strong supplement to a student’s education which can help them determine their future career path.

Our Maryland and Virginia landscape construction branches recently invited potential intern candidates – students from The Ohio State University, Virginia Tech, James Madison University, and the Virginia Military Institute – on a visit to learn more about what we do and to better understand the Ruppert culture and values.

Maryland landscape branch manager Mike Felts and Virginia landscape business developer Kelly McGuire took the students on a tour of two active job sites in D.C. – The Wharf and 700 Penn – and two completed jobs in Maryland – Clarksburg Premium Outlets and MGM National Harbor. The day concluded with a tour of our corporate campus and the Maryland landscape construction branch.

Several of these candidates have already accepted summer internships or full-time positions with the company, and we are thrilled with the opportunity to get to know them better and help nurture their careers.
