Laytonsville, MD – Ruppert Landscape is pleased to announce the promotion of Mike Fleming in our Baltimore, MD landscape management branch and Dave Sharry in our Richmond, VA landscape management branch to the position of associate branch manager.
Fleming has been with the Ruppert organization for over 10 years. He joined the company in 2006 as a field manager in our Toughkenamon landscape management branch after graduating from Williamson College of the Trades with a bachelor’s degree in horticulture. In 2010, he was promoted to area manager and transferred to our Baltimore branch, where he has since taken over management of the satellite office in Essex, MD as well as the additional responsibilities of an enhancement manager.
“Mike has an incredible work ethic and has been an important part of our branch’s success throughout the years by building long lasting relationships with some of our most valued clients,” said Baltimore branch manager, John Harich. “With Mike’s strong operational background and deep understanding of the Ruppert culture, we anticipate that he will be extremely successful in his new role.” Fleming resides in Hampstead, MD with his wife, Chrissy, who is expecting their second daughter later this year.
Sharry, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves, has been with the Ruppert organization for over five years and has over 25 years of combined landscape industry experience. He joined the company in 2011 as an area manager and has greatly contributed to the growth and success of the Richmond branch since its inception, demonstrating proficiency in all metrics of his job performance and building loyal customer relationships. He has been honored twice with the company’s Branch Impact Award for his outstanding contributions and dedication to his branch.
“Dave is knowledgeable, skilled, smart, and he is known for setting the bar high for himself, his team and his peers,” said Kevin Hazelgrove, Richmond branch manager. “He’s always willing to help others succeed and possesses the work ethic and leadership that make him well-suited to this position.” Sharry resides in Powhatan, VA with his wife, Elaine.
As associate branch managers, Fleming and Sharry will respectively be responsible for the overall welfare of their branch, including the safety and development of their teams, strategic planning and budgeting, training and day-to-day operations.
