Ruppert Nurseries Honored for World of Coca Cola Project

Laytonsville, MD — Ruppert Nurseries is proud to announce that the World of Coca Cola® project in Atlanta, GA, has been recognized for excellence by leaders in the green industry. The project received a Grand Award in the 2008 Professional Landscape Awards, presented by the Metro Atlanta Landscape and Turf Association (MALTA).
The World of Coca Cola, in the heart of downtown Atlanta, is the only place where visitors can explore the complete story – past, present and future – behind the world’s best-known soft drink brand. In less than nine months, Ruppert’s Landscape Construction branch in Atlanta, GA led the transformation on the four-acre site from a blank city plat into an incredible showplace host to hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the globe.
Since the project’s completion in 2007, Ruppert’s Landscape Management branch in Atlanta, GA has taken over the project’s maintenance and has performed several enhancements.
MALTA’s 2008 Professional Landscape Awards received 75 entries in 13 categories, encompassing installation, maintenance, seasonal color, green innovations and community service. The Grand Award earned by Ruppert Nurseries is bestowed on projects that greatly exceed all criteria.
Ruppert Nurseries provides commercial landscape construction and management in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina from 11 branch offices. In addition, the company operates a 475-acre wholesale tree nursery specializing in large tree growing and moving in Montgomery County, Md.
